just get a really really big Cuban link bracelet in 14k gold if you want to make a statement. 99.999999 percent of people won't know you are wearing a rolex, those that do probably won't be impressed as they probably have one or 30 of them already. Honestly.....buying a rolex to make a statement and to be noticed etc etc may not be the way to go for you. Another thing to consider Is that people that have a hunch will assume it's fake. I'm relatively young as well, had my first few solids in my late 20s and no one noticed or asked and that's the way I liked it. And that's probably what will happen to you, except you are looking for attention.

Just bear in mind that what will be a 'profound statement' to some will be a vulgar display of wealth to others.

Not in the list but when i saw it in person my jaw dropped. I saw a similar combo with an emerald bezel for the gmt last year in Milan. Not something il buy but if im making a statement il look for this one.

Now that's what I call an LV

Note the absence of depth rating on the dial

Most Profound Yellow Gold Rolex with the Greatest Wrist Presence?

Buy what you like from your list, they are all nice watches.

Personally, I like to buy a watch that I like that feels good on and fits well.

Poll: Most Profound "Peacock Piece" -- aka "Statement-Making" Yellow Gold Rolex?

Douglas,

Buying a Rolex only makes a statement that you appreciate good quality and reliability.

Acquiring a YG Rolex only makes a statement that you appreciate the quality and reliability, just in a precious metal form.

A lot of good advice on this thread. If you are looking for the biggest "peacock" watch, it may look like you are compensating for "other" areas.

To answer your question, see Rick Ross' watch.

This tends to be cultural. YG and diamonds are prized by men in the Orient and middle east as a sign of wealth.

Less so in America and Europe, except for gangsta's and rappers and working class men who have come into money. A generalization, with obvious exceptions.

Get a Ferrarri instead. It'll get noticed more than any watch.

I agree, any sports car will get noticed a thousand times more often then a teeny tiny watch. The only people who will notice your watch and assume it is not a plated Michael Kors type will be a WIS or other Rolex owners and they will know what you have so no need to extra peacock it, so I would just choose the YG watch that appeals to you the most.

Sky D

I like the the oyster bracelet on the sky d. The story behind the "first annual calendar", large wrist presence and current limited production helped me to make a decision.. Great watch, and I'm happy with my choice.

At the insistence of a salesman I tried one of these on at an AD a few weeks ago. It's the GMT-Master II Gold 116758 SARU. Talk about bling.
