while i like it, i'll agree with threeblindmice, but
the rareity of it, invites me to ask, how does someone secure a piece of a meteroite when the scientific community is apparently so protective of the stuff
did a private individual find it, have it identified and then put up for sale? just curious |

This is always a comptex story and this is not the forum - if you google as recommended above then you can read the story specific to the dicsovery of NWA 482.
But all finds, especially lunar and planetary often have a story behind it! But yep, essentially, an individual finds a stone - gets it classified and then contributes a portion to various intitutes and the rest he sells...! |
