Never, but do develop my XP2 rolls in Rodinal.

I haven't checked lately, but there was a positive B&W film years ago. Very expensive. I think it was around 16 euro / roll.

Not sure if there was much point in it though...

EDIT, I guess that was the AGFA's Scala film!

I have an older Leica but I decided to get back into Nikon and bought the D750. Great full frame camera. Now I'm cutting into my watch budget on the correct glass.

C-41 produces incredible results for color - I've never used it for B&W, but always dreamed of using it one day (before I switch to digital) for color work, but was hooked on the B&W thing for so long. I'd love to see some examples of it being used for B&W. So many famous greats used this process with amazing results. I think Eggleston used this process a lot. Hard to believe he was the first photographer to use digital. And that he's still alive. I love his work.

What model Leica (older sounds very good)? You could always sell it and move those funds into some new glass for the Nikon. Camera collecting is much like watch collecting, lots of flipping and experimentation.

When I was shooting digital full frame on my Nikon, these were the lenses I had in my kit as keepers after going through all of their other lenses.

Nikon f/1.4 50mm D
- The type of lens you handle and think it's the cheapest of cheapest, totally cheapo plastic but the glass, oh my, the image results, are truly incredible (a must have lens)

Nikon f/2.8 17-35mm ED
- Great street lens, perfect for reportage, stunning optic results (must have IMO)

Nikon f/2.8 14-24mm ED
- Ultra-wide lens, for that creative approach, absolutely stunning optics

Nikon f/1.4 85mm D
- Older sense, some say not as good as the new G, but I disagreed, this lens is for portraits and produces superb results, tons of buttery Bokeh (a must have lens)

Nikon f/2 135mm D DC
- Super unique lens with DC (defocus control, super unique), one of the best portrait lenses I've ever used (not a must have, but worth having if you're into portrait photography)

Something I miss is developing C-41 or E-6 myself.

I think I'll go searching for a JOBO CPP2 with a lift now!
