I actually don't mind nicknames when they happen naturally and people seem to agree on them fairly quickly they even some time serve a purpose for quick explanation.

but when a new watch comes out and people insist on giving it a nickname even though it didn't stick it seems a bit 4th grade to be honest :)

It's one of those things that you get used to and stop noticing after a while. It's a beautiful watch...that's what really matters. Nobody outside of the WIS circles would ever call it the batman or even BLNR so not a big deal for me.
