Based on purely aesthetics, love the 372. But on the wrist it looks gigantic. I don't see how people wear as a daily watch.
Sub is great, but if you can afford AP, why not. It's the submariner for the rich. |

Started out many years ago with a series of Subs. Made the jump to PAM a few years ago but always missed the quality build and "real watch" feel that I had with a Rolex on wrist. Found myself in that void having gotten accustomed to a larger piece on the wrist but not enjoying the lack of accuracy & other QC PAM issues (you can actually feel the entire movement vibrate if you shake your hand in the wrong direction!)
Along came DSSD & problem solved! Made the jump to D-Blue DSSD a few months ago & not only do I have the perfect watch but now also a unique dial and a bit of history memorialized on my wrist. I know it's not the same for all & a bit of a "polarizing" piece but for me, particularly if you're looking for something that feels substantial and enjoy wearing a marvel of engineering, there's nothing better |

Sub or AP. Pam doesn't do it for me. The AP is a stunning diver, but scratches easily and wears large and full. The Sub is just a beautifully engineered dive watch. Especially if you wear it on a nato or canvas strap. If you don't mind the ubiquity of the sub and it fits you well then I would say sub. I never get tired of wearing mine.

I think its a classic, but it is also dated. I think most of the Swiss divers are over 40mm these days.
Not a trend. People are bigger now than when the sub was released...the watches have evolved to match the larger size. |

I voted other....Rolex DSSD D blue. To me it's the ultimate diver and it appears you like a larger watch. Good luck.

AP Diver all day... If you're looking for other options, what about a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms?

Can't lose with any of those three. But as much as I love the 372, and I wear mine often, it really would be my third choice. If you can make the AP Diver happen, I'd probably start there.

Out of those, Id take the AP Diver. Although, I would take the SD4000 over the diver...
