Just joking around. Looks like I need to where my Casio to work to impress!

I can't take a pic from that far back.

Never a bad comment. Tell you the truth, no on notices. I think the only people that look at other people's watches are WIS.

In spite of all the comments from people (both positive and negative), owning a Rolex has got to be one of the many wonderful experiences life has to offer.......until the person turns into a deranged WIS with acute OCD. That will be the end of the joyful experience.

The only bad thing I can remember is my "friend" who said he thought that Rolex were an "old man's watch". This guy wears a modern Omega Seamaster Chrono and he is very brand competitive. Always needs to have the biggest car, etc.

Most of the time people don't seem to notice and I don't make a point of showing my watch around. I sometimes cover it up if a client takes too much interest otherwise they come looking for a discount!!

Also had someone ask about my SD, they said why would anyone what a watch that could go so deep, it was stupid! He also said it was so big, who would want one? Beside they cost way too much. His Timex looks so nice, well he thought it did.

My brother in law.... he says I picked a watch over my kids college education. My oldest child is only 10. I've never really received any negative comments other than that.

Why would a VC cause the "recoil in horror"? Just wondering.

I personally have found that fellow WIS are the only ones that notice the more exclusive brands and they are the last people to be shocked about it. If you ask 100 people what Patek, Audemar and Vacheron relate to, about 5 will get it right.

A good friend, after admiring my black TT submariner, asked me how much I paid.

When I told him he said that for half that he would just follow me around and tell me the time.

No negative comments yet. I do have some of my friends who enjoy busting my chops over having one, but it's been all in fun. One keeps asking how much I paid for it. My standard reply is " it was more expensive than a loaf of bread but less than a Mercedes". Then I smile! It has been fun.
