If the buyer likes it .... I probably shouldn't say much since I have a Rolex in my collection that has diamonds added to it .. Those two watches really are ugly though

Reality check... Rolex makes almost a million watches per year. Statistically, many Rolex buyers will find themselves past two standard deviations or far out on the outliers of taste and style. This is just hard proof of the mathematically obvious!

I must be getting desensitised to these types of modifications.

Not my cup of tea, but I'm not really bothered by them.

The Destruction of a Submariner and Explorer II

I am surprised that they have not turned a blnr into an actual batman watch yet. Travesty.

Edit: never mind. They got to the blnr too.

I have no words to describe how retarded those watches look. Like a bad dream...more like someone's nightmare. Really would like to see what kind of person wears that....12 year old millionaire?

Agreed, they are absolutely hideous. While it's not for me, at least the BLNR is just PVD coated with a new date wheel. They didn't change the the bezel colours or fill in the numbers a stupid colour etc.

So they pvd the blnr and change the date wheel and more than double the price? You'd have to be an fool to pay double the cost to have no rolex warranty and your watch be classed as fake by rolex! Which I'm sure the company doesn't tell the buyers! These companies annoy me! Bamford is just the son or a rich woman who lives in Gloucestershire where I'm from, no horological merit at all, guess that shows in his watches.

Just not my cup of tea. But like Tom said, someone must be buying them. I've never actually seen one in person though. The pics make me sad though. Kind of like a crappy artist decided to paint over a masterpiece.

When I saw the thread title I thought it was 2 watches being run over or something and started cringing.

I think that would have been a less painful result after seeing what the thread was about, but I guess anybody can do whatever they like with their money.

Poor watches

Gee, I guess it would be a great way for people who find 18K to be too blingy to tone it down...

What would it take to undo all that?
- Sand blast or polish to remove the finish
- New dial
