i wear mine loose , below the wrist bony bit , and loose enough i can turn the head from the inside , my preference ,to the outside easily enough to go un noticed if i choose to.
may not be correct , but i like it that way. |

One finger rule, above the wrist-bone for me.

I like wearing my watches snug. About half and inch down from my wristbone. I don't like it when my watch moves or rotates.

Comfort is purely subjective...for instance, a watch flopping around on my wrists is not comfortable for me.
To answer the OP's question: yes I think it would be possible to get a good fit with your size wrist...if we are talking about the ceramic version. The pre-ceramic might be a little more difficult and possibly involve the removal of a permanent link. |

Loose for me, snug enough to not rotate around the wrist but with maybe 2 inch up down range. Wife is the same and looks great on her.

I remove one link and wear my Rolex watches like that. My adjustment is not too loose nor too tight. The watches can slightly move up and down but not too far

I do not but use the one finger rule. My wrists fluctuate slightly with the changing of the seasons.

Also, is it bad for the bracelet to wear it too tight? Causing it to stretch perhaps? Is that even a thing? |

I wear it so that I can insert my pinky between my wrist and my band.

For me the pinky finger test doesn't mean much because you can squeeze it in there with a snug bracelet as well as slide it in with a looser fit. For me snug is the ticket and the test is that the case stays pretty much put on the top side of the wrist so when I go to look at the time I don't have to flop the head from the outside of the wrist into position to read it. This provides me the most comfort and utility.

It is when you wear the watch below the wrist bone, on the hand side, that the bracelet is most likely to stretch.

Mine is snug I would say - but it'll slide up and down my wrist a cpl inches. I don't like it flopping around.

This is a little off topic....maybe. I have a new to me GMTII. It fits my wrist best when the clasp pin is in the very last outside hole. Does this put extra strain on the pin? Would it be better if it was in one of the inner clasp holes with an extra link? Or does it matter?

My Sea Dweller was too tight on my wrist and it pinched a nerve. Now when I reach for something and extend my arm the there is a sharp pain in my thumb and index finger! Now that it's been loosened things are getting back to normal.

If it leaves a mark, it's too tight!

I have the same sized wrist...
take one link out, put the bracelet on the middle notch - it should fit perfect in most circumstances. It may be sometimes to tight - you can use the extender. Some times too loose - live with it

This is what my wrist looks like when I remove my watch. That's the only way I like it...
(the flash made my arm look extremely hairy! )

I wear mine where I can fit about half my index in. Its been working for me, otherwise they are too loose and slide around to much. Personal preference as well as lifestyle.
