I'm definitely an AP fan. In this case, though I'd probably go with the YM. It would just fit me better and I love it's look. 👍

Maybe they are talking about the BBK? However I still think this YM is a knockout!

I'd keep the AP and get the YM. Just really wish it had a bracelet option with strap change.

I prefer the YM, 44mm is a bit big on my wrist although I wear my Yacht Master II every weekend

Considering this is a Rolex forum, the AP is having a great showing.

I'm really diggin' the YM. Love the black ceramic bezel and rubber strap to tone down the RG. I wonder how flexible the strap is.

Really like the AP but way too big for me.

Totally different watches...at way different price points. Having said that, my collection would benefit more from what the YM brings than the AP chrono function...so that was my vote.

I'm still taking the RG daytona with ceramic bezel vs any watch in this thread.

RG sports battle --- AP ROO vs new YM

I like the new YM, showed a pic of it to the Mrs, she said it has design cues from Hublot.

Will definitely have a look once it arrives at ADs.

The RG YM1 gets my vote👍

I like the AP a little better. If the YM was 42mm then that would be a different story.

I've tried on the steel 44mm AP, and it was a bit too large on my wrist, although I still loved the way it looked. I think it would depend on what else is in my collection. I think the APs are great but I think a little, for the lack of a better term, "in your face" for daily use. If I already had a large collection of precious metal pieces I think I'd go AP, but if i was looking for a daily wearer or my first/only gold piece... I'd have to go with the YM. Since I fall in the latter, the YM would have to be my choice.

I am generally leaning towards the bigger and chronographs but new Captain Black is very cool watch and I am first a Rolex fan then AP liker.
AP's chronograph is same as you can find in ETA 7753 no leap seconds, no flyback and it's price more than double the price than equivalent Daytona
AP use their own movements but I never spread that hefty amount of money in watch that is not Rolex.

I like the RG YM very much and, well, that AP is just horrid IMHO. I'd have voted for the crown even if I didn't like the YM because that AP is a clear no-no for me.

I'd take the ap in a heartbeat. That said, I could possibly swing for the ym, but my pockets are not yet deep enough for the ap.

For me, just based on aesthetics, there is really no comparison. The YM is a much much nicer looking watch to my eye.

AP ROO for the kill!

Agreed - the YM looks rather overwhelmed by the strap

AP wins this one easily for me
