The Charles Gazal profile CG416 on TRF lists him as "banned". I wonder if this is related?

Sorry if this has been covered, I kind of skipped to the end here. But if you paid this a-hole with a bank wire or PayPal getting your money back may not be easy, but def possible, but don't forget, what this guy did was illegal. Theft and identify fraud to state just a few laws broken.

If you haven't already done so, file a police report and have them find out the identity of this guy.

Sorry, first and foremost should have been that I'm sorry this happened to you and hope things will work out for you. Thanks for sharing and the precautionary tale.

I reported it on WUS forum as I'm a member there also. Contact your bank tonight if you can....retract that wire!

Coincidentally...I have also done business with the REAL Charles Gazal.....great guy/solid....and I've seen him on this forum. I hope he doesn't suffer any ill effects from this scammer.

Terrible news AfghanVet. Hope it all works out for you at the end. I've only completed A
a handful of transactions with known sellers here. I guess I have been fortunate. Best of luck in getting your money back.

Sorry to hear about the experience. If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, then it is a duck.

I ran into a similar experience with a seller in North Carolina. The guy disappeared when I requested contact information and references. Apparently all the watch forums have been flooded by these too good to be true deals.

It has been said in this thread already, but it bears repeating. Do not blame yourself, do not feel like it is your fault in the slightest.

Really sorry to hear this. I hope your bank work with you and get your money back and I sincerely hope that b4stard gets what's coming. People like that are the lowest of the low and I am seriously not ok with that.

Unfortunately, the only way to get your money back is through criminal and civil litigation.

The only way to cancel a bank wire is to send a cancel notice prior to the receiving bank accepting the payment. The receiving bank would then just cancel it and your money would be returned. After the payment has been accepted, it can be reversed IF the sending bank made a mistake.

Sorry bud.
