I have both watches. And both watches are great and versatile. Anything you wear it fits. Just get the Subc first, then later get the Blnr. That's what I did. And I never been so very happy. Hope this helps! :)

Thoughts from the group please?

I would much prefer a Rolex sub to a batman is that not some sort of American type fictional comic.

I'd take the BLNR. For fictional characters I prefer Captain America myself.

If you really like BLNR, PCL should not be the excuse for not buying the watch because you can brush it anytime. Besides, some tiny scuffs caught on the clasp of PCL are actually tolerable for a daily wearer. Otherwise, you can wear it with other cheaper strap (like NATO or rubber strap) and keep the PCL aside before you want to flip it in the market. Or you just don't wear it (but looking this stunner evertday) and keep it in your widing box.

Slight edge to the Sub for me as I love the glidelock clasp.
Best of both worlds is a BLNR with Sub bracelet.

Do you find with such a great collection of complications and PM pieces that something like the SS GMT is a step down at all?

All this talk about having both, With six kids all under 16 and the college expenses the way they are, I am not holding out for a multiple watch collection. One and done for a while..

There is no wrong answer here but I would pick the BLNR.

Six kids you brave man haha

But six really means you need six watches to pass down so get shopping

I've been through a few SS combinations but never had a GMT LN or BLNR but from what I've had if I was to have a one watch collection it would be the 116610LN.

Well actually it would be a 114060 and the difference put into a pot for the BLNR fund.

To add as well 114060/116610 are well priced at the moment while the BLNR is holding strong, so if there is such a thing as VFM with Rolex the Sub would be the better option

Value for money

Still find the BLNR even via our trusted sellers on here command a premium over the discounts available on say the LN version or the Submariners

I think BLNR is quite unique because there are no other GMT watches with the two-colored ceramic bezel in the world, except WG BLRO. However, Sub-C LN seems ubiquitous because its bezel is similar to all other diver's watches in the world unfortunately.

Good to hear I've just always wondered about having such a broad scope in watches and how they all fit in together.

Terrible advice so far. The ONLY correct answer is both. ;)

Kidding aside, is SubC kicking BLNR ass? Wow.

Where is a poll when you need one.

In my perfect world I would have a subC LV, a BLNR and a DD40 blue dial on the way. But since I just have the BLNR my world's not too bad.
