One of the reasons I flipped my sub for the GMT-II was I preferred the lighter weight and thinner case. I use my watch for everything, to include open-ocean swims, but would never dive below maybe 25 feet (so the WR wasn't a consideration).
Of course, Rolex builds watches that go to 4k because they can. It's no more "necessary" than it is for you to have a $8k watch to tell the time and date. |
