The Woman with the Stainless Steel Daytona on the 6 Train

I saw a woman sporting a lovely panda dial Daytona on the 6 train this morning. I was wearing my GMT Master II at the time, and seemed both of our eyes lingered on each other's wrists for a while.

I did compliment her on her watch and we made small talk for a minute. She asked if I had a Daytona and I said no, maybe someday! I also said I usually don't see many Daytona's in the wild, and I have never seen a woman wearing one, but that it was exquisite and that she had style. This pleased her, though in retrospect it's maybe a kind of sexist thing to say.

It really was the first time I've seen a Daytona on a woman in the wild. They're fairly rare, even in NYC, seems to me.

Of course most guys would hit on her, but I was more interested in her watch. Weird, huh?
