$500 to switch a dial?! I can switch one in under ten minutes, check the gasket and waterproof test it in another 10min... Seems like a steep price for an easy job.

I believe that included buying the dial. Also since it is a 16013 I believe a new plexi crystal and seals are called for; yes, no??

That makes sense, dial + new seals and perhaps a new crystal will set you back several hundred.

Tapestry dial, by a mile. It completes the classic look of the watch and also, I am not a fan of arabic numerals on Datejusts. Love the Jubilee dial though.

I've always liked the jubilee dial. I wish it had been used on other models too.

It was, on the DD too.

Again thanks for affirmations and discussion all. I'm fond of it as it is now; I like it much better. It's back to being a classic. Strange about the dial how it becomes different colors in different lighting situations some times looking silver, gold, and white.
