You can't see me but I'm up the ladder adjusting the clock.

Ray is holding the ladder.

The Rolex AD on the left was Flinn & Co. They also made their own watches, according to a quick Google search. The shop was destroyed but the company moved to other premises after the bombing.

Great thread, the cars are certainly form the 20's era, so yes late 20's early 30's.

I see a 31 DB in the picture so no, not late 20's.

Just found another photo showing the bombed-out AD in November 1940. First is the original photo (for easy reference), then the one I just found, taken from the opposite direction, but you can still the building with the pillars standing on the far right and far left, respectively.

Just updating this thread with another old English "Spot the Rolex Sign" postcard, found on eBay. Also 1930s, I would estimate.

Interesting thread
Coventry looked much more appealing than it does now.
Did a quick search for then & now pics and found this website showing the bank: http://www.historiccoventry.co.uk/br...broadgate6.php

Here's a google maps image of Broadgate and the bank now

Rolex sign is just under the Whitfields sign. I'm guessing London, about 1930.
