this, the drive for a PM watch is very strong once it sets in and I think Mike, Neil and I know and understand that!! Its hard to take advise from someone who does not own a PM watch as they really dont know what they are missing!!

to me getting rid of a bunch of SS watches to obtain a PM Grail watch that is a true go anywhere do anything watch is WELL worth it!!

the BLRO has it all, looks, weight, feel, Grail, stealth, bezel, date, extra time zone!! what is left to say but DO IT!!!!

Not worth it at all. You could sell them individually and get a lot more for your money

I get the feeling if you make this trade you'll never looking back. Especially considering you're keeping the 16610 as your daily, I would do it!

Those other watches can all be replaced or better yet added back into the stable down the road if you find yourself missing any of them.

I would do it and no even remotely look back. All of the watches you are prepared to let go can easily be replaced if you ever would want to at a latter time reacquire. It seems like the BLRO ticks all of the right boxes for you so why not.

I love mine. To me it is nicer in person than in the pictures!! Fantastic reference.

Why not? If you aren't happy it's easy enough to buy any of those watches back.

Or you could take the $7700, add a few bucks and buy a BLNR

I would do it if that's the watch you want.
I have a friend who sold 3 and added on top for the SMURF (116619).
He has been over the moon for 6 months, and hasn't looked back since.

sell them yourself no need for 7700$ to top up for 116719..probably 2000-3500$

it will take you some time but it well worth it

Doesn't seem a million miles away from a good deal to me. I think I would do it to be honest. You can definitely survive with a BLRO and your 16610!!!! There is nothing like WG imo!

I would do that trade, only the 7700$ in cash seem too much IMHO. I will try to trim that number below 4-4.5K.

No way would I do this trade. Save up more and add the $7K to buy your target Rolex watch...simply not worth it...you are trading in 3 watches + $7K and in return for one...quantity wise it simply does not add up, quality wise perhaps a fair trade from your perspective but definitely not mine.

Based on your list, you should do it.

I would not want to pay that much of a premium to get a moveable bezel on a gold GMT and lose the Daytona.

Definitely do it.

I believe less is more when you get what you want. However, if you do meet do rotate and are pone to flipping, better err on the patient side.

Well, I constantly battle with this same issue. I would have to sell several watches as well to fund a PM Rolex. Personally, I think I like having the choice of multiple watches over just one or two. But, I can see having one SS model and one PM model. I think though after a while, I would want more than 2.

The BLRO is a grail of mine too...that said, not sure I would give up 4 for 1. However, it all boils down to what you want, and as others have said, it's not the end of the world if you do it and it doesn't work out.

I would. A grail piece versus those 3 would be a no brainer for me. I also appreciate more and more being a minimalist

If it's what you want go for it.

My last watch was a 3 for 1, AP+Panerai+Rolex for my Patek 5711... Been ~6 months no regrets.

I was recently trying to do the same thing and couldn't. With that said, I'm thinking about it again (smaller scale). 3 for 1. 4 for 1 was too much! There, that is my logic.

Truth be told, I was gonna sell my first and then I put it back on and was in love again. Pretty much wore it most every day for the last month.

Don't force it is what my thought is. If you are hesitating....well, hesitate. Either it'll feel right later or it won't.
