The red second hand is cool, not the 15 min countdown IMO. Maybe a red pearl triangle? If that's the right terminology.

How about brushing the bezel to a matte finish? If it can be done. That would go nicely with your brushed case.

I really like the stealth style. Think the red second hand looks great but the red markers are a little OTT. Good luck with it.

If you mean the bezel then that has already been fully brushed! But if you are referring to the insert can the ceramic insert be refinished? I know ceramic can be brushed etc but I'd imagine the insert is so thin hard reworking would be prone to damaging it.

Thanks for all the replys I'm thinking the red markers as some of you have said is a little OTT
Matte bezel markers in black is what I'm currently leaning towards. As for the red second hand I have came up with another project which I think I'll go the red accent route. |

This one came from the factory just perfect for me, especially love the bracelet.
But it's your watch, tinker away. |

And if anyone thinks he should do them? Or approves. Have you used an internet forum before?

Sam - how about a red bezel triangle, and, removal of the crown guards for either a 5508 or 5510 (big crown) look?

It's a hobby of mine. My 2009 Wrx that I purchased brand new, is HEAVILY engine/ turbo modified. Do I go to the track with it? No. Do I race it? No. But the car is now "one of a kind" and it reflects what I like. I purchased a beautiful house that has everything I could imagine. Guess what, I changed the new kitchen appliances, to what reflected my style. I changed the backyard to what suits what I like. I painted things to appease me. (Now the wife, Rule #325 don't try to change them :-) ) The Rolex I sent off to LA/ ABCwatchwerks to have custom paint added to the numerics only, and also to the GMT hand.... Guess what, it makes it like NO other Rolex out there, and fits ME. There are 1000s of Explorer IIs, but guess what? I will have the only one that looks like mine once they get finished with their magic. Call it blasphemy, but I am also having them engrave the case back with my favorite quote: "Never Give Up." I also have the Rubber B strap with blue line (numbers and GMT hand will be blue to match) for when I want to wear something other than the oyster bracelet. I'm having a blast with my ideas. Will this "devalue" that watch? I don't give 2 *****. The watch will make me happy, be a genuine Rolex, and be fitted/ customized to ME, not the other 10000s of people who own the same watch. Sometimes its not bad to be a touch different, and bold.
