Man, if you were married the wife would probably pick you apart. Especially if she could care less about watches i.e. my wife!..And I only own 2 Subs. I keep telling her one more and the final one, my grail watch 116618LB Sunburst dial. I will own that watch come Hell or high water one day!

Get it!!!! Make sure you post pictures. You could tell the wife it's actually a Michael Kors and see if she buys it.

I think you should keep all of your watches, buy the Platona and if you're ever in upstate NY, bring a bike (and the Platona of course) and we'll see how you like hill country...

Will do. If you're ever in the Greenville/Spartanburg, SC or Asheville, NC area, let me know. I'll show you some real hills. My favorite loop is 82 miles with 9200 ft of climbing and it's pretty easy to add an additional 1000 or so if you like.

I would flip at least 3 of those to get the Platona, the YM, Daytona and black sub.

yeah I'm down with this advice! Definitely some sub redundancies. Probably don't need the black sub, the SS daytona will never get worn anymore once you have the power or Platona! and the YM is a tough call. It will still stand out as being a little different in your collection. But once you have a platona and the WG sub, all other will likely fade away. The would for me ;)

That's what I'm afraid of. Since getting the Smurf, it definitely gets the most wrist time. Throw in the Platona, and I just don't know how much time the others will see. Very tough call.

I'll trade my problems for yours ;)

OK for real though, here's what I'm thinking. If you think you can afford to acquire the platona by only flipping 2-3 of these other beauties, take the leap. See how your rotation plays out in the following 6-12 months, and worst case scenario, sell a few more that aren't getting any use to recoup some of the platona expense.

I would flip Kermit, the TT and the Daytona S/S. A bit of trimming is not going to hurt, it's the Platona!!!

Keep one diver + the GMT & trade the rest for that Platona and put the leftover towards a Patek.

Platona and white gold sub are more than enough. Maybe keep one of the stainless pieces. I would definitely consolidate as I do not see the need for 5 subs. Either way good luck!

I say flip.

Are you really going to wear the SS Daytona after you have the Platona?

Consolidate to: Platona, WB Sub, LVC, and then add YG GMT.

4 different metals, 3 different functions, and all have different dial and bezel colors.

I doubt you would miss any of the other watches, or give them wrist time, with that 4 watch lineup.

So, do you wear the 116613 much?
What about the 116710ln?

You are a sub guy, so don't sell 'em. I get the desire to have those multiples. You have the awesome 16610, the collectible 16610lv, the fun as hell 116610lv and the stunning 116619.

Wearing it right now!! The GMT is in the rotation, but it's not one of my favorites.

You're obviously keeping the smurf. I would keep the TT sub, maybe a green sub, and get rid of the rest.

I pretty much stopped wearing all my SS Rolexes once I got into PM. So I'd sell everything you need to get the platona (except the 116619).

The question really is with diamond markers or without.
