Congratulations!

For me the Daytona appeal lies in the comfort/size factor and that excellent movement.
Enjoy!

Thank you everyone for the great comments it's a timeless beautiful watch.
What I do also like is the darker flatter subdials, yes it's a single tick dial you see that at 27 and 33 markets, also the number 40 is a different style to a double tick, overall the dial and fonts are extremely clean and stunning to look at and ofcourse you get the striking blue lume.

Watchclub usually advertise these at about Ł1000 over AD prices, do they give any discount on their prices?

Thanks

You have to negotiate and they will, plus I had a trade which I got an extremely good price on in fact much more than I expected - that trade together with a bit of price movement was a great deal for the 1week old beautiful Daytona.
Plus I have a customer relationship with them now and they have a watch that I've been after for a long time, which they have, but are not advertising and I hope to get details on it soon. If it's as described that is also worth it to have a good relationship and get news on watches before anyone else.

Mappin & Webb in Manchester (via M&W in St Andrews)

Not seen it yet so no idea on the dials. Didn't actually realise there were variations.

Cool yes there is a variation the latest models have what's called a single tick dial - look at the minute markets at 27 and 33 they will be short this is the sink tick dial ( long markers same as all minute markers is called double tick ). Single tick also is a flatter subdial ring and not as shiny rings as double tick so is darker and more gorgeous imho - much cleaner fonts too and you get blue lume also the 40 marking you'll see is pointed in the corner compared to flat on a double tick dial :) hope this helps and you will be totally elated with it I promise you.

Few more pics you can see how much flatter in colour the subdials are and the overall beauty of the dial ;)

Thanks for this.

I've often wondered if they are flexible on their prices. You have a beautiful watch there, but if the other one you are waiting for is an early zenith Daytona I'll be really really jealous.
