Welcome and congrats in advance. Is say take your time, read some informational posts here, visit AD and try on a bunch of options. Once you're settled on the watch you want, consider contacting one of the trusted sellers here, you'll save a but of money.

I just bought a DJ2 yesterday 116300. Been debating whether to buy new or second hand for a couple of years, but plumped for new. Really loving the watch and now already thinking about investing in a Milgauss.

went to my AD here in town spent about 30 mins in there looking at datejusts.... dealer is a really cool guy and made me feel right at home, showed me the watches i wanted to see and let me try them on, went thru the troble to lay out a few next to one another and let me look at them.... i'm close its a toss up between a white face and silver face with sticks and fluted bezel probably do the oyster band because of the clasp ill keep you all posted |

Wow, great choices.
Of those two, I'd take the silver stick dial. But I think both of those are just screaming for a jubilee bracelet ;) |

My favorite two Datejusts! Oyster bracelet is sporty and I love how the silver dial looks in different lighting. Also, the lume on the stick markers is awesome.

however, the way i am and the way i wear watches.... i'm a single watch guy, i will wear this watch day in and day out. so i'm leaning a bit on functionality.... i really like the adjustable link feature but yea its a hard decision :) a good one but hard JHo |

Great choices! I would go with the white. I say keep the oyster. I have a smooth bezel 36mm DJ with jubilee and smooth bezel and wish I got the fluted with the oyster! With the dj, I feel that the sportiness or dressiness is determined largely by the bracelet and much less so by the bezel. The jubilee looks way to dressy for my casual dress. Oyster and fluted will look great with casual/business casual and be able to flex into more formal dress. If you go with a jubilee it looks dressy all the time. Definitely go with fluted, IMO the new rounded smooth bezels are not as nice looking. Let us know what you end up with!

I'm rather looking forward to your incoming. I waited until I had made it before buying my first Rolex. Didn't do it as tough as you have, so good on you.
