A Sad Day - Sending Off my DD2

Yeah, I am being a bit of a baby , and looking for a some sympathy. I admit it.

But my first obtained grail is going bye-bye.

Long story short, the Superdog is a bit under the weather (more than a bit, but that is another story, in another thread). His vet bills are getting to the point of outrageous and I am not yet ready to quit on the little guy.

While I do have an emergency fund for things such as this...I really don't feel like taking any money from it. The only fund I feel comfortable drawing from is the watch fund, and I recently depleted that by getting the BLRO and something for my old man.

I have always felt like watches are just for the fun of it. And I simply would not feel comfortable drawing money from savings while I have all these little gems sitting around in a safe. While I waste a lot of money on this hobby, this makes me feel as though I am being somewhat responsible...

So the first "big" watch purchase I made is going. Saying good-bye to the WG DD2 (and a few others actually) today. It was this or the BLRO and that is just not happening.

I have been back and forth with wether or not I actually do have any sentimental attachments to watches. My father wore this one until I recently picked up a YG version simply so I could get it back. And ultimately, the answer is no, I really don't have any true attachment to it. I just really really really like it. But I just got the BLRO and it is a much more versatile and comfortable watch (to me).

Anywho, I just wanted to whine and complain a little bit. And who else am I going to whine and complain to? No one else will understand.
