It's a Metro ride but worth it to go to Chez Gladines, it's a Basque, French Southwest restaurant. Rue des Cinq Diamantes, in the 14th. Nearest Metro stop is Corvisart. Excellent food, friendly service. Cassolette Escargot Basque is amazing.

I'll be there Tuesday, Chez Gladines will by my first stop!

When i was looking for a SubC last summer, I visited 5 shops. None was available, I enquired how many people would walk in per day to ask for a SubC. The average answer was 7. Same thing for any SS model.

That means a thousand units could be sold each month. Even Rolex Place Vendome only gets 2 a month...

The sales lady at an AD i was in, in paris last april, actually asked if she can try my LVc on !! i was amazed ... in kuwait you can get any model you like within a couple of weeks max

If you ever want a model that is not available in your country, Dubai is the place where they have any model you wish.
You can arrange your travels to transit Dubai and get your desired Rolex.

SS Daytona waiting time is 1 month but if you know the dealer they will provide one on the spot.

SS Sub is so popular that there are many AD who cannot get them enough to sell a SS Sub for each who are willing to buy. Some years ago when I ordered mine there were at least 50 people on the list. Some years earlier 70 people were on the waiting list for SS Daytona. I don't know how it is at the moment, but I think that if there are those watches on the display windows without being reserved for someone they are sold rather quickly.

I was in Paris in August and was looking at watches. I found the watch shops in duty free area (Royal Quartz ??) of CDG to have the best price. If you get a watch in the city, you pay like 20% tax but you get back only 12% at the air port. If you buy it AT the airport, there is not tax what so ever to speak of. I forgot what they had at that time but I asked for the new RG YM40 and they had it !!!

Haha that sounds like a plan! I actually called CDG and they have it duty free, they also have a hulk too. They won't take a deposit on it and they're not sure it will still be there Sunday.

Now that would be worth doing. Getting full 20% off as well as the euro took almost a 2% dump today means about US$6630 out-the-door for Sub-C date. Don't forget that US customs is going to want a few percent duty paid upon your return LOL.

Also, this is very important... Make sure you're paying in euros, not dollars. Most of the credit card machines will give you or the store employee the option which currency. If you choose to pay in dollars "for your convenience" the exchange rate is going to be brutal. Pay in euros and let your credit card company convert it will be alot more favorable.
