This all started 5+ months ago, when my now former RM AD, said that my RG RM011 (which I had been waiting for 4 months already) was coming in a ‘few weeks guaranteed’. I said great and knew someone who wanted my Ti 011, so I sold it (THE mistake).

Then the nightmare began… One...two…three...four...five months go by and one excuse after another (actually all AD’s were singing the same tune—forget about getting a RG011—none to be had or coming).

RM, as many know, this year has held back on production of all watches in order to increase demand and help the secondary market. Also, they have been pushing ‘demand’ pieces to boutiques (i.e. little to no discount). It’s been bad news for those of us who want to buy one. I almost gave up on RM all together because of the limited supply.

(THE fix) Well the skies quasi-parted yesterday after 6 months, sadly it was not the RG011 I want, but a Ti 011 finally arrived at RM US from Geneva and I said I’d take it--period. Having an RM in the stable is mandatory for me and why not FIX my original MISTAKE while waiting on RG. I could not take another day without a 011.

I absolutely LOVE the Ti 011…always did. Anyways—net/net this beauty is back on the wrist and I need to take her on vacation (more on that next week).

Lesson learned -- don’t sell anything until your AD has the new one in his hands. And yes, I’ve been assured I will get a RG 011…when will one arrive in the US AD channel, who knows at this point. What I do know is I have an RM back in the rotation and I’m one happy camper in the interim.

welcome back!

happy for you.

is this a keeper, or a hold-over until the RG comes in?

So you're watch is going to start acting crazy soon and you'll remember why you got rid of it?

Congrats, Paul! I know how much you love RM!

Nice one Paul - big congrats, all is well in your rotation again😄
Didn't realise you had sold your original 11. Those RG 11s are obviously really hard to come by. As you state RM slowing down supply seems to be keeping secondary market prices really high 😂😂

Congrats "again" Paul. I've been thinking about correcting a mistake also!

Can you help me understand the complication better?

month @ 4:30
date in red box @ 12
continuous seconds @ 3
chrono minutes and hours @ 6
60 minute count down timer @ 9

Will the chrono minutes and count down timer ever be different? I can't find any info on this online.

Thank Colin. RG is impossible (except one at US Boutique for full price--no thanks).

Understood on the annual calendar.

But what about the count down timer v the chrono minute counter. Are they ever in different positions? ie one pointing right and own pointing down? Or will they both always point right at the same time or down, etc. They just have different numbers they are pointing to? I hope I'm making sense. Very cool complication.

Amazing. Looking forward to seeing the shwag you receive. They know you have a driver. Maybe a set of irons

Just such a beautiful watch.

Yeah, they went lite on swag (cap crap). BUT, I did get a white strap (perfect for vacay on beach) and strap changing tool that I should receive directly from RM tomorrow. If you know what RM rubber costs, I was happy with 'free' strap
