HL65 you obviously know your watches. Have you seen the VC? Is there something about the VC that's an issue with the watch or is it mostly a preference for the Daytona. The Daytona is obviously a great watch but I don't know enough about this particular VC. Thanks.

Have owned several VC's and for me not a fan. I have seen many of them over the years and they just don't do it for me. Also they are very soft on resale.

From personal experience, I loved my Daytona. And I love the entire line.

But I went VC and would again if I had the choice.

Let me say again, I love the Daytona. But there is really no comparison. The overseas is truly in a different league when compared to the SS Daytona.

Great mix of opinions. HL65 have you owned this particular VC Overseas with the SS bracelet?

All due respect, what do you want? Do what you want, not what someome else would prefer.

Because they want the watch and like the watch.

Simple.

I had the AP ROC and it is a beauty. The AP's SS bracelet is imho the best there is, has a wonderful satin sheen to it, and also a wonderful and easy clasp. The F Piguet mvmt that both share is very solid and gave me no problems. As I said before these are 3 great pieces, just a matter of personal preference altho Daytona has by far best resale, so you do need a great deal on the AP and VC.

Thanks super dog and subtona. I like the VC for something different but don't know enough about the Overseas line. I have a Rolex DD in rose gold and a TT submariner w black bezel, an AP diver that I just added a SS bracelet for, and the PP in my Avitar. I had a TT DJ with a tapestry dial that I gave my son when he graduated from HS. The VC seems to round out the collection a little better. I really appreciate everyone's input. I should care more about the resale but if the VC is an equally good watch then I'm leaning that way. All watches are new purchases since 11/12/15 except the TT Sub.

I tried that on my last time in Vegas. OMG. So nice.

Someday....

Russ, best way is to be objective in your search, not just ask guys on here what they like, you'll get both camps chiming in.
I was objective in my research and chose the watch based on certain merits that were important to me( I've listed most of them in my previous post).
Consider price, wearability, longevity and durability, as well as resale.
You'll need to see the OS in the flesh so to speak to really appreciate its substance.

I was at a JLC Boutique last week, and the counter dude, asked" what sort of watch are you wearing? I said " it's a Vacheron". He says " Wow, I had no idea, that thing is magnificent".Made my day.

Nope.

Daytona by a mile. Not a VC fan. The Daytona is the best looking chronograph ever produced in my opinion.

Daytona for me as well. I appreciate that the VCO is an exceptional watch with fantastic build quality and dial, but the Maltese Cross motif on the bezel and bracelet don't appeal to me.
