I would go with a forged carbon 44mm AP. the survivor series is a little to bulky in my own opinion. Also I don't see the extra money it cost worth it.

If so I would take that over the survivor in a heartbeat. Im a total F1 fanboy, but the price point is more then I can afford to spend if I want to remain married. I want to be in the low 30s.

The Grand Prix though ... now that is an interesting choice. I do not like the forged carbon bezel, but you can replace it for a ceramic bezel and black date wheel (AP will do this) and you will have a unique and KILLER watch right around your budget, maybe even a little cheaper ... assuming you like forged carbon of course.

That's what I am saying ... OP mentioned his budget is low 30's .. so Schumi is a no-go.

I'd save longer and get the Ti as it sounds like this is the watch you really want. Can probably get one for 40ish.

40 is a stretch but I can maybe convince the wife. Do you guys see one available from a reputable dealer anywhere?
