I had a few minutes to drop by my local AD today and tried on the Carbon AP Roo, and while I admit that its absolutely beautiful on the wrist I just want something a little different. Something polarizing, where some of you hate it and some genuinely love it. I think it highlights my character an personality a bit more.
Also have a look at the Schumis not so polarising but still pretty different and not so many of them.

I would go with a forged carbon 44mm AP. the survivor series is a little to bulky in my own opinion. Also I don't see the extra money it cost worth it.

Solid recommendation! This is a grail (the TI for me), especially if you like the F1 theme.

If so I would take that over the survivor in a heartbeat. Im a total F1 fanboy, but the price point is more then I can afford to spend if I want to remain married. I want to be in the low 30s.

The Grand Prix though ... now that is an interesting choice. I do not like the forged carbon bezel, but you can replace it for a ceramic bezel and black date wheel (AP will do this) and you will have a unique and KILLER watch right around your budget, maybe even a little cheaper ... assuming you like forged carbon of course.

That's what I am saying ... OP mentioned his budget is low 30's .. so Schumi is a no-go.

Looks really great with the ceramic bezel.

I'd save longer and get the Ti as it sounds like this is the watch you really want. Can probably get one for 40ish.

Advice: Purchasing my first AP

40 is a stretch but I can maybe convince the wife. Do you guys see one available from a reputable dealer anywhere?
