I really appreciate all of you. I really considered making it a double this time with a Panerai but I couldn't get into the AD in time to try one on and I didn't want to get a big old 1950 and then find out it was too uncomfortable. I also have really been considering an Omega Speedmaster 3570.5 with a hesalite crystal. The interest in these two stems from all of the great photos you guys post with all of your great straps. Regarding the recent post "What's the Big Deal with NATO's?", I'm one one the guys who is falling in love with them. Shout out to Dan Pierce Et al. Anyways thanks to everyone for the nice comments and all of the great photos you guys post. I see this Exp II as a watch I can wear a lot without having to worry about babying it. I like that in a watch. I want it to join me in my day as a comrade, and not as someone I'm having to always be worried about. That is why I chose this watch. For all you precious metal guys I looked at a really nice Pt DD 40. I probably should have taken a picture. The AD also wanted to show me a Patek with a baby blue dial and baby blue alligator strap with diamonds around the bezel. He said it was a men's or women's watch. Let's just say I was polite but unmoved. The bracelet on the Pt DD 40 did on the other hand felt incredible and I was surprised it was only $63K (the whole watch and not just the bracelet). Still I didn't buy it which I know disappointed Dominique. I'll try to find the watch on Rolex's site and post a picture since I didn't think to take one. Overall it was still a great time as I was there looking at watches with my son.
