Give me a 44mm 372 with plexi around 5K, I would buy one immediately!

Love the brand but it is not the same brand I knew 5-6 years ago. Still, some of the tool like elements in base models will never go out of style.

Panerai had carved enough reputation, history and following that they'd be here to stay. Am a Rolex diehard but I do find Panerai design elements and look to be different from Rolex and both brands have their place in my collection. I tend to do Rolex for formal and office occasions while Panerai is for my casual and traveling use. My Rolex stay true to OE form down to the bracelet they came with kinda stiff upper lip form while my Pam moves from OE straps to aftermarket and a more playful iteration which lends to my creativity.

So I think Panerai is here to stay. Even thinking of adding an automatic Pam to the collection.

I've definitely reduced my participation in Panerai discussions. Probably because I seem to have found the one model that satisfies my needs - 372. Haven't felt the urge to try anything else and that includes the gold models! I recently stopped by a Boutique and just kind of shrugged and left. Weird feeling. I will admit to still lusting after the wall clock though.
