Rolex warranty is not named - the name on the card is just a feelgood thing. Your name is not registered with Rolex when you buy the piece new. You can write Mickey Mouse to it if you want, it changes nothing.
Avoid undated cards, the date written on the card means nothing (but there is anecdotal evidence that Rolex can play hard to get with their warranty with some cards where the date written doesn't match the date sold), the date it was swiped through the card machine at the AD is when the warranty starts. So, for BNIB, I'd expect the date of swipe to be the date of my purchase, which is only available at an AD. |
