The Black TT is a very nice watch and a little more blingy than a black subc but not that much. Resale is not as strong so try to get at least 15% off from an AD, or research a trusted reseller for 20% off.

I like blue subs and the sunburst dial is nice. If TT is a serious consideration, perhaps you should really look at the gold model.

I would suggest you consider an used, mint watch versus a brand new one or if you want brand new give consideration to some of the fellow members in the forum that can probably get you any watch model for a lot less than most AD.

I'm not much of a TT fan but imho the bluesy is the best looking watch Rolex makes. The sunburst dial, yellow gold, and SS just wok so well together. Of the many watches I've owned over the years it's my all time favorite. If I had to choose between the LN and SS I'd go SS. Black and gold doesn't work for me.

I love Rolex TT. They are fantastic watches, with a splash of precious metal without the arm and a leg price.

That said, you asked for advice. For your first, you can't go wrong with the stainless version. After you've had that a while and you're looking to add something with a touch of gold, then go TT-or full gold if you can swing it.

Hey guys,

Just an update.... contrary to my original post, I decided to go with the Sub ref 114060. It may sound strange however I've been drawn to the purity of this model

Had to fly interstate just to collect this watch and was quite an enjoyable short trip :) I'd also like to thank "dkmajm" for the tip on locating this beautiful watch

Here are some pics. Third one is with the wife's Chopard timepiece.

Great choice! One word of advice: keep it! As your first Rolex, it will always have a significance future watches won't quite have. It's a classic, yet contemporary, with the current case, bezel and bracelet design and materials. It will stand the test of time--the ultimate challenge for any timepiece!

I couldn't decide on a sub until I saw the TT Blusey and right away I knew that is the Sub I want. Just like love at first sight lol.

Congrats on sourcing a Rolex SS sports watch in Oz! Its no mean feat and I think you made a great choice with the 114060, the classic Sub no date design

To answer you question about the 6k price difference. Well, it depends on how much you like gold. If you love gold, sure it's worth it. But if you want to remain "low key", the bluesy might not work cuz it's a bit of an eye-catcher unfortunately.

Like some have already said, if you like TT subs you should also check out the 116613LN. A bit more low profile than the bluesy.

Get the 116610 man. I just pulled the trigger on one last week or so and couldn't be happier. It works with anything from jeans to tuxedos. No PCLs. Heaven.
