I know you don't want another 111, but it's a super great piece. I've owned many others and came back to it. The 312 is a bit top heavy and I had issues with the movement when I had one. Good luck on your search!

I was in the same position as you a couple of months ago - I had sold my 111 last summer but was missing Panerai. I managed to get a really good deal on the Panerai 320 and I couldn't be happier now!
It has the things I liked about the 111 like the sandwich dial, 44mm case size and the seconds hand, as well as the things I was lusting after like the 1950s case, quick strap change system, automatic movement, three days power reserve (with rear indicator) and GMT complication. It sits higher on the wrist than the 111 but the added features I've got with this beauty far outweigh that minor point. So if you're thinking of the 312 (which is pretty much the 320 minus the GMT function) I would definitely go for it! :) |
