Back on topic: Stick with AD's or one of the reputable grey dealers. Best choice for getting a good & safe deal would be to buy from another established TRF member. Knowing how everyone here appreciates a nice Rolex it's a safe bet the watch will have been well taken care of. Some great deals in the For Sale section.

If you ignore the troll long enough, the troll will go away.

It's just a shame when daddy buys a business, nurtures it, builds it up with years of sweat, develops a reputation, and then passes it down to the spoiled child who still has not learned how to treat people. There are many people here that could buy the troll many times over.

I am sure a scammer would use great pristine pictues of real authentic rolexes.. Why put a pic of a fake one up.

one way to know if they have the watch is to have them send a picture of an exact time of your choosing.
also,there are many ways to tell if a watch is real or not,you just have to have a trained eye and know what your looking for-and if you have seen a fake with a the anodized wheels I would be really surprised!more liekly it was a real move,ent in a fake case.

just like Steve said - I usually ask for them to take a pic of something very specific - like his suggestion of seeing the current time is a great one. I've also asked for the person to take a pic while holding their pinky up in the pic!! just SOMETHING to show me they are in possession of that watch
