if the YM 40 ever comes in SS on OFlex band, i'd put a deposit on it --- unseen, untouched.

We get alllll excited every year, and every year we go home feeling jaded and unimpressed.

I don't think the green dial will make it to the 39mm. Just because someone likes that dial doesn't mean it should be in their predictions. If that's the case, I predict the white dial with black 369 will be in the OP39 this year.

What about a SS Daytona with black ceramic bezel?

Monochromes Basel 2016 Predictions

I doubt the YM 40mm steel will happen, although the Oysterflex will definitely make an appearance somewhere - another option on a Daytona maybe? Rubber links up with Motorsport much better than Yachting tbf...

I think DJ40 will come eventually, but not sure about this year. Rolex may want to rake in more sales of DD40 first.

SS YM ceramic and Root Beer look nice, I would hope for one of those!

I don't think it would be on the Daytona (but that's just me...)--- but I do agree that we could definitely see some broader application of the Oysterflex...If I dared to take a guess I would say SD, or DSSD....

These predictions seem realistic but I don't really like the dials they suggested on the DJ40. If Rolex does downsize the model, I'd like to see the Jubilee re-introduced as an option. A "root beer" GMT would look great but I'd ditch the red accents and just go with a gold hand and lettering like the older 5 digit reference.

Nice work by them on the pics, all look pretty good, might as well enjoy the pregame now as the main event is often a bit flat.

I was about to buy a DJ but if the yachtmaster in ceramic will cost 9000$ for real I will wait and buy that one (even though the rose gold will still remain my favorite) what do you guys think, is that a possible thing to happen? and if they really announce it when will the sale start?

With all due respect, I don't think these two watches are the same thing but just larger.

The former looks more like a pilot style watch and the latter looks more like a tool version of a GMT.

Explorer I in 42 or even 43mm with date would be a killer watch.

This is why I was talking to my watchmaker/AD about brushing my entire DJ2 when it was brand new. Look at DJ2 dial options before it goes away, which I do think is almost a foregone conclusion after Basel.

Just took a look at their 2015 predictions.

If they release this in SS or WG, I'll be one happy dude . If they release it in platinum I'll be one sad dude!

If they release the Coke GMTc on SS, I predict a glut of used BLNR GMTc in the market. The BLNR prices would go below the black GMTc.
So it will probably be a platinum GMT.

I do see the DJ 40 coming but not in the new fancy movement. Rather, a well calibrated -2/+2 old movement.

I hope for a DJ 38-39mm. I doubt they'll do a DJ40 as the DJII is already 41mm, not a worthwhile change.
38 would hit the sweet spot for me.

I can't see Rolex releasing a coke version in platinum. Pepsi colors have always been the most popular and associated colors with the GMT. Maybe because those colors have been around the longest. Seeing how they've chosen to use these colors on their WG GMT sort as the flagship for the line, this might be as far as they chose to go with it. Just MHO
