Few years ago someone took off from the wrist a 500k$ Richard Mille in a petrol station. You can see it at YouTube.
Where do you live?

Right.

I would have told the guys to calm down, and that I will hand over the watch.
Then ask them if they need the box and papers, and maybe a polishing cloth.

Return tomorrow guys, I will bring the warranty card unsigned from a trusted seller!

Yeah not sure why he fought. It's best to give them what they want and protect yourself. I had a gold Rolex and sold it because of the attention. It's not worth the risk.

The fight or flight response, whatevers inside you is what comes out in threatening situations. you dont get to choose during the event unfortunately.

Too many of these showing up here; pays to live in better environments. Not certain if these cause undue paranoia; they might.

A quick bit of mma, actually no holds barred, advice. If you turn your head so the side of your neck is against the pressure points you can withstand such attacks longer. Also proper technique is to break a single finger of the choke holder and then another etc. his fingers are vulnerable and he cannot stop the snapping of single fingers.

i also advocate protection but will not dive into specifics. the world is not as safe as it used to be imo.

Thanks! So the tip is in short form is to turn our heads to the right or left as much as we can and then start snapping his fingers?

Wow, that video made me angry just watching it - looks like an office too, could be a home office I suppose, but I doubt he would be so well dressed at home.

Poor guy, he did put up a decent fight for being bombarded...Sure, plenty of tricks to beat an attacker, but he would've ended up pretty beat up if he was more aggressive.

Also looked like the one attacker didn't know how to open the clasp.

Scumbags.

As much as I'm in favour of looking after yourself, is it worth risking your life for a watch? Yes, if you get the vibe that they'll kill or maim you regardless then don't go down like a lamb to the slaughter, but otherwise give it up and claim on the insurance.

It doesn't even need to be deliberate, in an enclosed space there's just too many things you can fall onto that will crack your skull or break your neck. In this case there's also what looks like a staircase or something which they could easily have fallen down in the railings had failed.

This made me feel sick. Scary as hell. I have mine insured. Easier to just take it off and give it to anyone who's willing to do that to a human being for a watch.

Sickening

Breaking fingers? Isn't that hard to do and require much force?
