There are dials of the WG Daytona that are being discontinued.
So most likely a WG with Ceramic bezel as well.

Knowing Rolex the stainless steel version will remain untouched.

I actually want the SS to remain untouched as the only one who doesn't move to the ceramic bezel.. More wishful thinking on my end I guess 😁

I could see that. I personally think we're still at least another year or more from a change to the SS version but who knows.

Not a fan of TT watches but have owned both the Daytona and Sub in TT. I know Rolex will do as they please, but it would be nice to see them give the customer(s) what would be a instant classic. A novel thought, but one that Rolex should maybe think about. How about updating the entire range at one time, PM, TT, and SS. I know it goes against what we continue to see from the company but it would be refreshing.

I think you may be on to something, OP. Check out the Rolex Instagram account, the two-tone Daytona has been getting a ton of attention lately. Maybe they're trying to push sales for the remaining stock before the ceramic release?

I think the "gold-on-leather getting ceramic inserts" theory is more likely, since the 116518 and 116519 are discontinued now.
