You'll be hardpressed to find a US AD give a discount. However, I know of a couple ADs in Europe that have provided a 5-10% discount.

Things are a bit different give the state of economy now. I have received discounts from two AD's that in the past would not discount PAM or Rolex.

I can get more discount for Rolex. Around 20-23% for Rolex sport models.

Hello everyone! I just picked up my 1st Pam yesterday (177) and got 10% off from an AD. I tried to get a strap too, but all they offered was 20% off. They said they based their discount on fees they were charged on payment type (i.e. AMEX, VISA, Cash/Check). Hope this helps. Happy Holidays!

Welcome Skeeter, you bought very well indeed and are in great company with me also owning a 177 (my only Panerai).
I think the aftermarket straps have so much to offer anyway, I wouldn't really worry.

Welcome to the 177 club. I just ordered some new straps for it - so, I am looking forward to the opportunity to essentially create a new look with the 177 often. Best to you! Welcome to TRF.

Local AD's - if they have several PAMs still sitting around, are willing to give 5% discounts (NYC & FL). I would try to at least press for 2 free straps + 5% discount.
Last weekend - walking around mall and AD saw my PAM 233 and offered discounts on the 14! PAMs (5% on strap versions and 12% on bracelet version). However...trying to locate a GMT IIC at this time. |
