Both amazing watches for a laundry list of reasons. The BLRO gives you the the feel of gold without the bling. The AP, although not gold gives you a true grail that truly flies under the radar.

When I'm ready to buy a PM Rolex, it will be the BLRO.

My next AP will most likely be the Jumbo.

But not sure that I would try to compare the two any further than simply deciding which one I want next. They are just both so fantastic.

I think the only way to answer this question is to end up deciding which brand you want. Rolex or AP. I would start there and then the decision will be much easier.

Both the 15202 and GMT blue/red are iconic as steel watches, so between the two the AP makes more sense IMO.

I like both but would lean towards the AP. I really think you need both in a collection.

I'll also add I don't know where people pull these AP service times and prices from. I have an AP getting serviced at Clearwater right now. Less than $1k and 4 week turnaround time. It's the 7th AP I've sent to Clearwater and AP service is probably the best in the business.

I'm constantly amazed by the lack of civility that has become the hallmark of many on TRF. Gone are the days when we could ask questions and learn.

Some of you are just plain jerks,

Haha I have both. I did this to stir up some controversy. Which it did! My word. My collection as it sits this week is a 5711/1P (my grail I got last year) 15202 (my second one after some small problems with the first one), 116719BLRO incoming this week. I also have some other less important steel pieces for fun...

Pieces I let go from boredom last year: 5205R black, 1675 Gilt, 5517, 16520 (white), Speedy Pro, 5396G non sector, 5164, 5712/1A

Incoming piece this year: 5170G-010, 16520 drop dial, 6262 Paul Newman (if things continue to go well with business), 116655 (for fun, probably won't last long in the collection).

Hahaha I've had both RM035's! I lose interest, I think an RM030 black rose will be my next RM.

[Trying to get this thread back on track]

BLRO is a beauty for sure and more robust, but if I could only have one, I'd get the Jumbo for sure.

It's really on a different level on so many ways.

Its just an over priced steel watch with a none magnified date, I'd love to hear the pretentious reasons that anyone on this forum has for pretending that its on the same level as a solid gold ceramic Rolex.
