If you re-read my post I asked the OP to post to the forum the cost "if you wouldn't mind posting" it. If he does, fine. Think we are getting off topic a tad. I was actually more interested in turnaround time as asked in my initial post, or is asking that tacky as well?

Let's move on.

Thanks for all the kind comments. It really turned out great.
Regarding the questions about price: I really can't answer that. It's not as if I purchased it off the shelf. There was polishing and replacement parts involved. In this instance she was able to take WAY more pics than she can usually. These take time and eat into her other work. That's why I felt obligated to post them all up. Now everyone else can see exactly what the 3185 movement looks like fully apart and what the rebuilding process really entails.
In the end I just wanted to show my before, during and after service process and especially show some recognition to Vanessa who shares so much technical knowledge here to the members of TRF and of course highlight her exceptional talents.

We are all the better for your posting it...I use Rikki and was just curious as to what others charge.

Can you share turnaround time?

You handled that very well, sir. The watch looks fantastic...congrats. My 10-year old 16710 is in for its very first overhaul right now, as well (with Rik Dietel). Hoping for similar results.

Hi guys! Thank you all for the kind comments.
At the moment, the cost to overhaul a modern Rolex, including a complete refinish, starts at $495.00
This excludes special parts, and vintage watches. You will receive a final estimate before the work is started, and a 5% discount for being a TRF member.
The turnaround is generally no more than 3 weeks, although vintage can take a little longer.
Prices are subject to change at any time, and the turnaround could be affected by the physical wellbeing of my children or myself.
If you have any questions, feel free to pm me. If I don't reply within 24 hours, please send me another message, because I probably missed the first one.

Bill has been a special friend for a long time, therefore I spoiled him with taking the time to snap this many pictures. Please don't expect me to do this ever again!
I will however take a few pictures for anyone who requests me to do so, and I'll text them to your cell phone.
