The 005 is a classic PAM but the BLNR is just too good.

What is next? I know BLNR is hot in the forum, but I am afraid it is too similar to the bluesy.

Your thoughts? Thanks

On some of the newer model Panerais, the hour hand can be adjusted independently. Almost as useful as a GMT.

Thank you all for your inputs. You all convinced me that I will need BOTH. It is all about priority so I decided to get the PAM 005 for now and add the BLNR later. Maybe later this year or hopefully in Basel 2017 Rolex will equip it with a new movement ( I am dreaming).

Here is the PAM.

Good decision.

You've got to go off reservation beyond Rolex!

So about 2 months ago I flipped my BLNR for a 1940 512. I would have loved to keep the BLNr but funds prevented that and I wanted something different. I still like my choice. The 512 is just a different style. I love the simple dial and patina numerals. I think the strap combos do it for me. If Rolex did oem straps I might have gotten an explorer for the simple look. Maybe one day I will go back to Rolex, but I have my planet ocean for a classic look when on a bracelet.

PAM looks great and diversifies the collection / feel a bit! How are you liking it so far?

I have a 372 and this one looks familiar, is that a 372 also?

I love that picture because it shows off the dome and also how the gold hands pop against the dusty dial.

Haven't had a chance to try it yet other than taking those pictures. It seems my wife likes it more :-)

yeah straps are the fun part of PAM that Rolex doesn't offer.

BLNR. It is not too similar to the TT Blue Sub. Had both in my collection for awhile and never felt they were similar at all.

I really like it so far. It took a minute to get used to the manual wind but takes 20 seconds every 60 hours so not a problem. I like it best on the brown calf strap.

Yup. 372. As close to a vintage PAM as I'll get (not because of cost but because I'm a modern watch guy but appreciate the look of vintage). Wish more modern models used plexi crystals.

I had a 005 and voted for the BLNR. I've only kept 1 panerai in my collection and that is the 249 Cali

BLNR but my daily is a Pam. My other is a 116515 that I don't wear as my daily. Love the Pam for it's comfort.
