New Sub issue -advice requested
Just over a week ago, I traded in my 12 year-old Datejust for a new, 2-tone black Submariner. Yesterday, I noticed a small, black, hair-like bit of debris on date dial. When I moved the watch through the dates the debris appeared to stay where it was. Cosmetically, it doesn’t bother me that much. However, today I noticed it had moved and am now concerned it might find its way into the watch mechanism and cause problems sooner or later.
The jeweller I bought it from is a long established Rolex dealer so there’s no doubt as to the watch’s provenance. I contacted them and they told me that I could either get it sent back to Rolex or just leave it as in their opinion it would unlikely cause any problems and I had my 5-year guarantee to fall back on. I’m not totally convinced – should I get it sent back to Rolex immediately? Any advice appreciated. Thanks |
