I would. And I already have a kermit, a DSSD, and a couple Tudor divers. :-)

A comment from my wife yesterday, "that looks amazing with the sun shinning on it". And she never usually comments on any of my watches. Go for it

The SubC is a great watch. While green isn't my favorite color, the LVc is a great looking watch.

It's an awesome reference!! As a daily I'd wear the SubC, black dial, with a hulk in rotation. It's a beautiful watch, but part of a rotation for me. BUT, it is definitely wearable daily, goes with a lot more than you'd think.....go for it!!

It is certainly very different from a Datejust; and not necessarily in a good way. Can look like you are showing off. I suspect you would miss the greater visual sophistication of the DJ very quickly.
Any chance of having both? Then if you don't get on with the green watch, you can sell it for a strong price. Otherwise, it is a risk. |

Why not have both -- I do.

DJ2 or Hulk...... That's not really a question.
I look forward to the incoming!! The Hulk needs to be seen in the flesh to be truly understood. No internet picture even comes close to doing that dial justice. |

Hey my first post here! I hope the op doesn't mind - would the hulk be a good first rolex vs a black/date sub? I have always liked the classic look of the black dial but this thread is making me undecided... :p This will also be my very first luxury watch purchase. Assuming this will be my only rolex for a while, would the black one be more versatile vs the black one?

congratulations!! that's the right call. and, as far as "showing off" goes, i honestly think all of the polished surfaces of the DJII attract more attention than the LVc. also, when indoors, the green is subdued. looking forward to the pix! |

I hope I don't get crucified for this but I think the hulk would really suit PCL.
I would never say that about the 114060 though. |

he showed me the green one ( I'm his wife) and at first I thought "meh, it's ok" but after seeing the pics that you guys posted in real life, I like it a lot better. Stock photos online don't do it justice.

I would absolutely go for it. I have the hulk and while it isn't my daily (My Rhodium OP is) I would have zero issues wearing it daily.

I'd flip in a heart beat...especially if you got a fluted bezel datejust 2. The lvc is actually much less conspicuous than one thinks... My blnr garnishes more attention. Wears awesome like a modern sub should and the new bracelet /clasp with glidelock is sublime.
