The scratches don't bother me in the least, but I do love the Black Everest on it.

I reckon brush them - probably the cheapest option and can easily be reversed.

Brushing the PCL's is what I would recommend (or getting a spare brushed bracelet); getting a 63200 or 63600 super jubilee as suggested above.

For me the PCL's are great on the GMT. Sure they scratch, just like they do on the Daytona, YM, YMII, and many other Rolex models. But the only time you see them is when you examine the watch. During normal wear you can hardly tell they're there and no one else sees them.

If I did a head count I'm pretty sure more references come with polished than brushed, even in the professional line. But for some very off reason it seems to get complained about on the GMT way more than the others. OK, I get the GMT used to come with brushed center links but that's been awhile now and I hear the complaint from many members fairly new to Rolex who never had a 16710. It as though they hear other members mention it and get caught up in it.

For the OP, I'm not sure the BLNR is the watch for you. You had one before and got rid of it. Then this one goes with you on a business trip and you throw it in the safe deposit box for the whole week and buy a Casio in the hotel gift shop to wear instead. To each his own of course, I just don't get it is all.

Got a new 97200 but still waiting on the actual watch. Top of list and AD hasn't had one for 8 weeks so hopefully in the next few weeks. Good choice seen a few BLNRs with the 97200 and looks amazing

This is the second BLNR I own and I've always worn it on special occasions. As it turns out, worn in real life scenarios I cannot stand the amount of scratches the PCLs will pick up on a single wear.

I don't want to get rid of the watch a second time so I have a few options:

1: Brush the BLNR bracelet
2: Black Everest for the BLNR
3: Black Everest for Hulk and put bracelet on BLNR
4: Sell the thing because clearly I am not mature enough to let scratches go

Thanks again for helping me out!

One easy solution is to have children. Once you have few lovely little guys bossing you around and running around you, you will no longer notice any scratches on PCL anymore and this is from experience

Eventually, all the scratches and swirls turn into a fine haze, and the bracelet will look great, with the touch of polish that's been toned down.

Brush it and keep it. Or learn to deal with the swirls.

None of the above.

Buy a Super Jubilee, it should hide scratches

Not my pic! Credit to the owner

I like the PCL and don't care about the difference in scratch appearance, but if that bugs you and you "need" a GMT complication, get a sub bracelet as suggested and store the original if you ever want to sell...only if you keep the watch forever (and the potential that RSC will be less than welcoming) get the PCL brushed.

I wasn't really aware of PCLs when I had a Milgauss (before joining TRF).

I didn't like the PCLs when I had an SS Daytona (I found them to be too shiny when combined with the bezel).

I learnt to live with PCLs when I had a BLNR (even though I couldn't live with the blue).

I grew to like the PCLs on my GMTc LN.....which was a factor in my next purchase....

I love the PCLs on my BLRO...it's my daily driver and I don't let the odd swirl bother me.

So my advice would be to relax and enjoy!

If you get over the first few scratches then you won't worry about it as much. I would get it touched up by a professional jeweler once a year and it would make it look like new.

I'd buy a used 114060 and swap the bracelets before I bought a 97200 on the used market.

I don't love pcls but I own many Rolex with it... They will scratch is you stare at it long enough like any polished part of a watch. I say take it easy, admire your watch, and not take a loupe to it every second. Any normal scratch comes off with a light polish so it means nothing since it's not noticeable from normal viewing distances.

Just wear it and enjoy it! A BLNR with scratches on the PCL's is better than a BLNR hiding in a box with an owner who is scared to wear it. At this point in time the watch is owning you not the other way around . When the scratches become to much for you send it in to RSC or a jeweller to get sorted- done. Its a watch, a nice one but only a watch! Enjoy it, embrace the scratches and set yourself free!!

I used to be OCD about my watch, but have learned from others here to relax and enjoy the character that becomes YOUR watch.
