Mate I feel your pain, this is unacceptable! I would write or call Rolex to investigate the matter, this is hurting their brand immensely. Hope it all works out for you

Un-bleeping-believable
That's just a terrible thing to happen, and completely unacceptable, but it doesn't surprise me as it is similar to my one and only experience with them.
Late last year, I sent my 10 month old Sub-C to Texas (via local Rolex dealer) under warranty as the crown was so stiff that it was very difficult to operate. 6 weeks later the watch arrived back dirty and with scratches to the case and bracelet. The glide lock was also jammed shut, so much so that the shop assistant at the AD couldn't budge it! My Rolex dealer denied any issues, informed me that the crown had been replaced (I subsequently checked with the RSC and was informed it wasn't replaced), that I simply didn't know how to operate the glide lock correctly, and that watch scratches were a part of life! I ended up taking it to an independent watchmaker to buff out the scratches and clean and lubricate the glidelock. I have vowed never to send any of my watches to them again. |

Such a disappointment to see a piece returned like this. I've had services at NY and Dallas RSC. Wasn't impressed with Dallas after the last full service. Got the watch back and it was keeping terrible time. Sent it back and when I got it back they had shipped it with the flip lock open against the bracelet and it made a nice gouge in the gold PCL from rubbing against it in transit. Have only used NY once and aside from being slow, didn't have any issues.
Good luck getting a speedy resolution. |

Damn, isn't Dallas the one most people love? Usually NYC I read bad things about.
That sucks...I'd be having a fit. Good luck! |

Can you explain in greater detail? I can't see what you're talking about. OP- you have the right to be upset and demand they ship and fix it at no cost, and give you an apology. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That's the super rare Rolex Submariner-C Spider Cyclops. Don't ever flip that piece, it's worth 10 times MSRP now.

Those scratches are upsetting. Give RSC Dallas a chance to respond to the issue. They are usually pretty responsive when something this obvious occurs.

Rolex is cutting corners and being cheap by not making the cyclops out of sapphire. Whats the point of making the crystal sapphire when the most vulnerable portruding part is plastic.

Thanks again guys. I'm just waiting until they open this morning to call. Also, to add insult to injury, there are marks on the case and bracelet that were not there when it went in. I asked that they not refinish the watch as it hardly had any scratches and I like to keep my case lines nice and crisp. Now, they're going to have to refinish it since they added a bunch while servicing.
First we have these rub marks on the 6:00 side of the bracelet that appear on every link from the clasp to the lug. The following photo only shows the worst closest to the clasp but you get the idea. Literally, these marks appear on every link on the 6:00 side of the bracelet. Next we have a bunch of micro scratches on the polished parts of the case. While there were some of these when it went in, it was not even close to this bad: |

Did you check the serial number? Perhaps it's not your watch.

Well, I called RSC Dallas today and spoke to the assistant to the head customer service manager. I emailed the photos I had taken and nicely (but firmly) expressed my extreme displeasure with the whole situation. The person I talked to was very kind and apologetic and agreed it should have never gone out the door like that. I am being sent a mailer which will go directly to the head of customer service so at least things are headed in the right direction. I will update the thread when I get a resolution. Thanks again for the moral support guys. I definitely am not out to try and besmirch Rolex with this but good lord, the cyclops damage is unbelievable.
