I'm stuck between these two as my first brand new Rolex too.
I'd pretty much decided on a blue OP, then I saw the AK. At first I didn't like it, but seeing videos of it, rather than just photos, the 3 6 9 seems to be far less obvious from most angles which makes the dial look much better. The coloured font, crown and hand are a great touch IMHO. Hopefully I'll be trying them both in a couple of months. |

The OP39 has been the most comfortable and well-balanced Rolex I have ever tried on. Might just be my next; However, it does seem rather plain (not necessarily a bad thing) and Air King is a bit more eye catching.

I'd go AK. It's a really unique and fun piece. I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but it quickly grew on me. I think it's super cool. Good luck!
