Hard to tell in the picture if your wrist can pull off the 42mm size of the Explorer II. Assuming you're comfortable with the fit, I have to say go with the Explorer II.
You're 20, it's more of a young man's watch. It should hold up to much more abuse. New bracelet, new technology. It's a more versatile watch fashion wise. Better warranty. There maybe a lot of situations you don't want to wear a gold watch, let alone a vintage Rolex. If you decide that 40mm size is a better fit, i'd be more inclined to recommend a SubC or a BLNR for someone in your position. Nice problem to have. |

I never liked the ex2 myself and I am also looking for a TT sub in black for myself :)
