He sure seems to have issues with AP, constantly trolling threads in this forum and about AP in the main Rolex forum and making snide remarks at every opportunity as he does....perhaps he was bullied by an AP-wearing hooligan as a child?
Also, for someone who hates ceramic, he somehow managed to find love in his heart for the Rolex ceramic bezels (imagine that): Quote:

Never had a case crack or a structural/ integrity issue on a watch. Had faded bezel on two omegas. Never had issue w Rolex. I was just curious as to the benefit of a ceramic case and the price point on these would cause a lot of frustration when things go wrong I suspect. |

Also, can you list any thread of reported quality issues with Rolex watches in which you've jumped in and made snarky remarks about Rolex quality?

Glad it's getting repaired with no fault to yourself... No surprises as AP service is top notch. I am a lil surprised it will take 2 months for the new case. Either way, brand new case and new 2 yr warranty coming.

Also, I've seen reports of Omega (which I believe you own) Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon watches with cracked cases as well in our very own Omega forum, I guess you jumped in on those threads as well and bagged on Omega quality, etc., and referred to them as "Fashion watches, like Michael Kors" as you did with the AP Diver in another thread, or "poor quality" as you've referred to AP in yet another thread?

Omega supposedly makes the hardest ceramic cases out there right now (Same as used on Blancpains new ceramic cases). I love the material, but the material is brittle which is something you always have to keep in mind when handling ceramic watches. Had the 3786 IWC Fleiger which is a great piece, but moved it on because I was afraid of dropping it.. The AP diver in ceramic is nothing short of an amazing piece...

Lol, he never even had the flu this is the first time I have a problem with a watch, but seeing the way it is being treated by AP, would have no problem at all getting some other AP ceramic watch in the future... Lol don't worry I am sure you'll be fine, I believe what happened to me is very rare... Quote:

Good to hear.
will they issue you a new case number, or it doesn't apply? |

Good question, I have no idea, I won't hassle them with questions now, they just said they would take care of it, but when they tell me it's ready I will ask a few, why this happened, what they did exactly to repair it, new case or not, and new case number or old one...

The case will have been replaced – ceramic doesn’t get repaired. |

Also, try reading the thread again, I am far from alone in raising objections to your comments in this thread.

Your comments reflect a degree of cognitive dissonance. A cracked case is a serious item on a high end watch. I've expressed nothing but best wishes for the owner. Now I wish you'd find someone else to pick on. This site is not limited to "fan boys". So, what I intend to do is buy what I want. And post what I want, all within the confines of the forum rules. To rest: Enjoy you watches fellas. |

So the number is the "back plate" serial number, nothing to do with the casing at all. |

No, my thoughts are quite consistent, and ad hominem isn't going to get you anywhere, but while we're on the subject of psychoanalysis, I would suggest that you've got a very bad case of sour grapes. I maintain that you've been trolling this forum and others bashing on APs every chance you get, and I think the following proves this quite conclusively.
Just in AP forum, over the past several months: Quote:

This thread became amusing, it's making me want to grab my ceramic diver but I can't part with my new 5116R, I think it's my favorite for now.

All this talk about the case finishing on the diver makes me want to wear it. Even non-WIS can immediately see there is something special about the watch when you wear it out in the wild. I have had people at work comment on it, which has never happened with any Patek I have worn. |

I've never understood the phenemonon myself, I suspect it arises from cognitive dissonance and/or sour grapes.

Well sometimes I write a thread on which I don't understand the love for a type or brand of watches, but once I get answers I donsome research and either change my mind or don't but I think that those who constantly bash a brand might be out of jealousy, at least for a part of guys who do, you can not like, but to honestly compare Rolex and AP case finishing and say they are the same level is quite comical... |
