I don't agree with the spelling comment, but that's not exactly called for either...

Hoping to get the thread back on track because your question is a good one, I would absolutely make a trade. I'd get rid the silver diamond dial if it were me but that's because I am partial to the rhodium diamond dial. You have a Datejust heavy collection and you should diversify. If your heart is set on the platinum dial don't let me talk you out of it, but personally I think the blue dial is the killer in the line up at the moment.

I would go for the YM. Gert something different from what you had. I would go that way.

Back on point, you really need some variety in your collection imo flip a DJII and get a chronograph.
Trust me, it's not socially acceptable over here either....at least amongst those with a modicum of class. Cringeworthy, indeed....and quite telling.

I have a lot of other watches. Probably to many.

Pics or it didn't happen. There is no such thing as too many. With further insight you'll get better opinions on which direction to go. 5 of your pictured watches have identical movements. The Yachtmaster whilst a great watch is using the same movement again. You should have a Day-Date in there instead of 2 DJs and a Daytona. AP, some Pateks, Vacheron or two, Langes, Breguets. Get some Hublots, Piagets and some Bamford Pateks. J/K

It's great that you've made a mil at 28. Congratulations, you've achieved something that many will never do in a lifetime.

But there are other things to be proud of besides money. Maybe you'll learn this during the next 28 years, and maybe you won't. Some people amaze me at the amount of humility (or lack thereof). Take a look around these forums a little more, and you will find that this forum is for sharing knowlesge and communion, and not to flaunt wealth. Although Rolexes are a luxury item, you're not going to impress anyone here with how many Datejusts you have; we have collectors here who own millions of dollars worth of watches. Are you impressed now? I don't consider it "snobbery" when people have given you thoughtful responses to your question, but mention politely that it isn't customary to make comments like that. I think it's snobbery when someone says things like "who cares about spelling when I made a mil at 28," or "kiss my black wrist."

Just saying...but you do you.

I suspect you mean "too" many. Some strange comments in this thread, though.

Plenty of guys over here in my area make that sort of money at a young age. When their cases come to court we find out how they've made that sort of dosh.

I was going to comment, but his entire thread just went south... Regardless, I'd trade the DJ2's, I'm not a fan of the design, the new DJ41 looks much better.

I would. It gives your collection a little more "sport" and variety... You do have a lot of DateJust going on there. A group photo would definitely help for more accurate opinion on how to move your collection forward.

Words can be very telling about a person. That's why I try to be modest and respectful to everyone here. We all come from somewhere else, yet we have something in common that brought us here. Responding to negativity with more negativity is not constructive... It's one of the main reasons why my country sucks right now.
