I just finished a cross country road trip and wore my SubC the whole time. It was perfect.

Blnr is the obvious one so I'll pick explorer as that's what you'll be doing. Have fun!

Just made a similar choice myself and chose my GMT 16700 as it was recently serviced. Last trip it was my EXPII. BLNR is a natural. You might have it pressure checked if it been a while and you plan on water sports.

I'm not a diver, but I use the timing bezel on my Sub every day for various things, so I always choose Sub. It's essentially a glorified Turn-O-Graph for many of us, and I miss that feature when I'm wearing one of my non-divers.

BLNR! I like your idea of putting it on the sub bracelet to dull it down a little for the trip.

When more than two time zones from home, that's the time for a GMT.

BLNR would be my choice but not for the reasons given by most here. Your travels include cities in both the central and eastern time zones and you will need to be setting your watch to the new time zone as you travel. Of the three watches you list, only the BLNR has the quick set hour hand allowing you make the time zone changes without having to alter the actual timekeeping of the watch.

BLNR hands down. I drove from New Orleans all the way to Philadelphia with no worries. The vast majority of people will not notice what's on your wrist. There are Michael Kors watches that are much more blingy...

BLNR + Everest Rubber Strap
Comfortable in humid conditions in the South, and totally under the radar for those who might be curious.

BLNR- a travel watch for traveling!
Hands to local time, rotate bezel to indicate home time (leave GMT hand on GMT). |

I'm driving cross country from Brunswick Maine to Pacific Grove California for Legends of the Autobahn, the Vintage races at Laguna Seca and attending Pebble Beach.
Took me a week to decide which to take, D-Blue, Tudor Chrono or Explorer II. Finally decided on the Explorer II for ease of time zone changes and keeping track of time at home. So off we go...in Athena the 1973 BMW 3.0 CSi.
