I hate to say this but it truly is... Im a huge rolex guy, love them to death. Personally think you get the best bang out of your buck with rolex but once i got my AP. Its all downhill from there. AP is an amazing brand. Even wearing a SS AP compared to a SS rolex. You just know. You have something special on your hand. Im sure SS PP have the same feeling from an AP.

AP vs Rolex?

I think the detailing on all the finishing points is just so much more intricate. The number of minuscule brushed and polished surfaces on an AP surpass most Rolex models IMO.

Now of course the forgoing means more scratches and wear marks. That's the price you pay for the look of AP.

The movements - while not always at the same VBH as Rolex - are exquisitely finished and usually visible through the case back. That's a nice touch.

At any rate...a few of my opinions.

Well you're right about PP, it's as AP very special, a Nautilus is an incredible feel, more or less like a 15202

Why comment?? Why not just let it go? I don't frequent Omega forums but I don't feel the need to comment on a negative way.

So you have never handled a Grand Seiko? I understand, I felt similarly until I tried one on.

Lapince...you are 'thinking' about a 2017 incoming Daytona (apologize if date is off as it's hard to keep up your 6 month+ out incomings) per your previous thread.

You should probably play nice as a future/past Rolex owner.

Diversity in a collection is a good thing.

No, I was thinking picking one up when I get my 5167R in a few weeks, but my AD can't get one before, he had a black dial when I got the 5712, but he said beginning of 2017, anyways the PP is waiting for me, so I can wait, as I said in my post I'm not in awe over it, basically I'm getting it as a kind of beater, if I had a real urge to get it I would source it somewhere else, but it's not the case...

To be honest my post was kinda nice and playful in regards to the original post it seems the guy likes Rolex and doesn't like AP, I never go to forums of watches I don't like, don't see the point...

Get your hands on an ap and you won't be able to sell the seiko fast enough. Comparing isn't even close.

Yep. The brush lines and polishing are out of this world.
Patek is in the same class with the Nautilus.

No other watch I've worn so far makes me feel by its design and execution as though I'm wearing a beautiful piece of art. To me, my AP RO is in a league of its own.
