Most of these sorts of threads seem to be a 50-50 sort of deal. However, I consider this to be a 100-0 in favor of not doing that trade. NEVER, EVER

Are you outa your mind, son?! No, no, no.

Actually, tell you what, I'll buy a brand new 2016 Exp I...will leave stickers on and everything...and then I'll trade it to you for your Sub. I think that's definitely the right move for you. Lemme know.

They aren't making anymore lv's. There will be plenty of the new explorers out there.

This. Keep and save if the Explorer is what you want at the moment.

Flip a coin. As long as it's a coin with NO on both sides.

Flip 50th Anniversary Sub for new 2016 Explorer1 Basle with new lume dial?

Guys-sincere apologies for not mentioning that the proposed flip involves a sensible cash sum to me also. However your very spirited response against doing this exchange totally convinces me of how much the Anniversary Sub is so highly sought after! So it's not going anywhere!

I can't thank you all enough for your greatly respected advice not to do it.

There will be a day that you strongly regret selling the LV. Save and buy the Explorer.

What's the condition of the Sub, is it full set B&P? If it's in excellent condition, with full set, I'd highly recommend you keep it.

Keep the LV Sub as they are out production (assume you mean the green aluminum bezel insert version) and a great watch. ADD the 2016 Explorer I when ready as they will be in production for years now. Good luck in your decision. Cheers!

Never

The new Explorer is and will in the future be easily available.
The Sub LV is only going to be more difficult to source @ a reasonable prices as time goes on.

Although the LV isn't my favorite I think I'd keep if over the new Exp which I like better than the old ones.
