Has anyone put the black dial ceramic Daytona on a light brown strap? Would love to see that.

Looks awesome. Have you tried any standard leather straps on it?

The best is the original bracelet. Why mess with perfection? Best bracelet in the business. Only thing is do if I were Rolex is to put Glidelock and eventually move all bracelets to a quick release system.

Agreed, but I’d like to dress it down from time to time.

White rubber on the white dial makes a perfect summer watch.

You asked, so here is my .02 worth. Original bracelet is best by far. Leather or oyster flex is great also. NATO is horrible. It cheapens this great watch exponentially. Just my thought, it's your watch.

I agree! Original bracelet is the best! Feels the best and looks the best imo. I personally wouldn't even think about changing it if I had a 116500.

Had mine on OEM Oysterflex with Smarty endlinks for over a year although currently back on bracelet. Will likely put it back on next summer. I'd also consider having Aaron of Combat Straps make me a custom fitted strap out of something cool, maybe stingray. He has a gold Oysterflex model and has made several "Aaronflex" straps for it.

The black Daytona looks so good on most anything. The white seems to only work on the bracelet.

One day I’ll post a review thread about 116500 on different bracelets.

For me the Oysterflex is by far the best for daily wearing. The traditional oyster bracelet and super jubilee are a tie.

I haven’t tried other leather straps personally.

First, my favorite is on original oyster!

But I have put it on RubberB in summer for a French Riviera look…

And I’ve put it on a (Omega) NATO…

As someone above mentioned the “black Daytona” … I agree, the black Daytona has the wearability of a black Sub, with the specialness of a Daytona. It’s spectacular!

I agree, although I'm noticing most pics of Smarty endlinks installed are having the small gap on one side of where curved endlink meets watch case. Is Smarty the best or should I try a different source? It's not bad, but I thought it would be a better fit. I was told this is normal.

New to the forum. Here's my submission. Also just testing to see how posting in a forum works.

I actually agree the bracelet is best. It's much more comfortable, fits like a glove, and the extension makes it easy to adjust the comfort on a hot day. But i want to save this for my son/daughter, and i'm afraid i'll scratch the mirror polish too much if i wear it all the time. So had a rubber strap made.

Welcome to the forum! That's a nice looking strap - can I ask where you got it?

Seems like the black face is way more versatile when it comes to straps.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to try out a reply! I got the straps from monstraps. Can't post the exact link cos my post count is only 1. Haha!
